The People’s Bank of China is to issue a series of 2015 Chinese Bingshen Year (Year of the Monkey) gold and silver commemorative coins and all of which are the legal tender of the People’s Republic of China.
The 1oz Year of the Monkey silver coin is proof in quality, 40mm in diameter, 10 Yuan in face value, 99.9% in fineness, and contains 1 troy ounce of pure silver. The total mintage is 200,000 pieces.
Designs of the Coins
Obverse Design
The common obverse of the gold and silver commemorative coins features the national emblem of the People’s Republic of China, auspicious design of lotus and fish symbolizing a surplus year after year,the title of PRC and the year date.
Reverse Design
The 1oz Lunar Year of the Monkey Silver Coin bear the common reverse of an image of a lifelike monkey in the foreground and a decorative design of the monkey as the background, the face value and the words “Bingshen” in Chinese.
